First Tuesday of Lent Isaiah. 55:10-11 |

Lord, teach us to pray to your Father – to my Father – to Our Father. Don’t teach us the words, but teach us how to pray and why we should pray. We may think of the Our Father as a model that teaches us the value of prayer. Prayer in this model is not merely a recitation of words but an expression of our inner attitude of faith, of love of God, of forgiveness and love of others, and of surrender to God’s will. May our prayer be a response to the passionate love of a Father who gave us His only begotten Son to teach us how to live and how to love. |
