“A generous helping, all you can hold”

Aren’t we always as pleased as kids when we receive an unexpected windfall? Someone surprises us with home-baked cookies or has an extra ticket to a great show. We marvel at the generosity of the giver, it spreads a warmth within us. Our God who is ready to bestow many gifts on us, wants us to do likewise for each other. As we reflect on the “measure” we have received – let us give more thought to how we can increase the “measure” to our neighbor. Lord, make me so loving that I can open my hands and heart to others as you do to me. Let my time, talent and treasure flow freely and bring your grace and peace to the world.
