"Who Are You? I am reading a book titled When Bad Things Happen To Good People written by a rabbi, Harold Kushner. In this book, Kushner describes the stories of good people who in their suffering basically question God. Who are you? Why do you cause our suffering? In the OT the Israelites, who God had helped to win a battler are suffering in the desert without food and water. I imagine they asked God the same questions as they grew inpatient. Through Christ we see God answer in the NT. Jesus is asked "who are you" and Jesus responds "what I have told you from the very beginning" God keep telling us, I love you; I do not want you to suffer. God asks us to be patient and to believe in Him. Let us respond like Jesus "He has not left me alone" because I believe in him. |
