“I tell you, one of you will betray me.” We can picture the scene around the table as Jesus’ drops this bombshell. We can image ourselves horrified that someone would do this or we can be real and know in our hearts that it is indeed us. Lord, how many times have I betrayed you out of weakness and laziness. I have betrayed you by betraying those who count on me, those who have no one to speak for them. Please give me the grace to be true to what I know is right. |
