Grain in front of an ocean view

“Unless a grain of wheat shall fall upon the ground and die, it shall remain but a single grain and not give life.”

As we begin this quiet day of deep reflection let us try to leave our hearts open - in a stance of receiving. There may be many things that we are drawn to think of this day. Perhaps we have experienced a loss of someone dear. Maybe we mourn our own
personal loss of health or mobility. These things are certainly worthy of our time and prayer but let’s not get caught in our own agenda. Don’t let this day of reflection become a fix-it day. Can we just BE and sit open-handed ready to accept what Jesus wishes to share with us? Lord, I’m listening!
